I reached out and submitted all of the mortgage paperwork hoping to take advantage of a first time home-buyer program for Veterans. They did not even attempt to help me. I was told that the program has a wait-list, but they could get me just a regular mortgage (at almost double the interest rate). I politely declined, and that was the last i ever heard from them. I sent multiple follow-up emails and never got a single response.
